About The Artist

Anita graduated B.F.A / M.Ed.,  Art Ed. certified from Temple University's Tyler School of fine Art in Philadelphia PA.  She is also certified in Photography, Interior Decoration and ESL.
As an Art Instructor, Ms de la Cruz has lived in London, England, taught Fine Art at the American School in Puebla, Mexico, Philadelphia PA, and the Austin Independent School District. She has taught Calligraphy at the University of Texas informal classes, and Fine Art in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Anita specializes in Batik, Oil, Watercolor, Pen & Ink, Prismacolor and Textile Painting. And has exhibited in PA, Mexico and the U.S Virgin Islands.
Her memberships include, the Writer's League of Texas, National Art Education Association, The Virgin Island Artists' Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, The Humane Society of the U.S, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA.)
